[AD] How to create an inspirational gallery wall with Desenio

One area of our home that was lacking any pictures on the wall was our office. Since I colour blocked the bottom half of the walls last year, this room has been crying out for wall art and inspirational pictures to help inspire me whilst I’m sat at my desk.

As you know my colour scheme throughout the house is pretty much monochrome, and this room is exactly that with hints of pink to tone it down and to make the space feel a little more cosy.

I was thrilled when Desenio asked if I wanted to create a gallery wall using their gallery wall design ideas or gallery wall tool, and this room was the perfect room to do it in.

In the past I’ve found creating gallery walls a little tricky. I worry that it could feel a little mismatched or thrown together, which can be great depending on the style and the look that you are tricky to achieve in your home.

However the Desenio website is here to help, it is packed full of amazing gallery wall ideas and layouts. To create mine I selected Black and White gallery walls, and then looked at gallery walls that would look good in an office space. You can do this for nearly all rooms, all styles, all colours, and you can choose small or enormous gallery walls. I found that there are so many choose from, and you can spend a few hours getting lost in their website looking at all the beautiful pictures.

All gallery walls come preloaded with prints, and it also includes the price for the prints plus the frames, which is so useful for helping you budget. I chose the Stylish Art Gallery Wall for a Minimalist Workspace, and swapped all the pictures for a mix of prints and inspirational quotes.

As I’m self employed and work for myself, my office needs to be my place of inspiration, so I need all the motivation I can get, particularly if I go ahead with a slight change in career direction later this year.

You can see that I treated myself to a mix of prints; a combination of the graphical prints and inspirational quotes. The prints are mostly monochrome with the addition of greige colour tones in the large and smaller prints, and there’s pink in the top print to match some of the accessories in the room.

Putting the gallery wall up was really easy. I used a traditional method of a using a tape measure to line everything up, with a nail in the wall to hang the prints, and I left a 6cm gap between each print.
