How to find the best deals online
As a parent we are constantly looking for the best deal whether that’s online or in-store to help us save money, or to make sure that we are getting the best value for money for a certain product or experience that we want. I’m a SAHM, blogger and student and I’m constantly on the hunt for the best deal and ways to save money, and there are so many ways that we can do this, no matter what we are buying, whether it’s holidays, mobile phones, car insurance, the list goes on and on.
So I wanted to share with you some on my top tips for finding the best deals online.
Shop around
It definitely pays to shop around, especially if it’s an expensive product. Never purchase the first one you see from the first shop or online site. Do your research, and find out where you get the product cheapest, does it offer free delivery, and does it come with a warranty. This is vital on more expensive items, as some stores may not always offer a warranty.
Compare the market
Tied into the above point, compare the market. There are so many websites that combine products or deals from number of different online retailers making it really easy for you to quickly see the deals, and the price. For example when I was recently looking for a new mobile phone I used an online Mobile Phone Comparison Tool that listed all the mobile phones, the operator, the amounts of minutes, text and more importantly; data and price, in a quick and easy to read format. There’s also similar tools including Skyscanner for flights, Trivago for Holidays, and USwitch for Gas and Electricity. They all do the same thing, by combining products or services from different brands to help you quickly and easily find the best one for you.
Use Google
This goes with saying. Always use Google. It’s my first turning point for any question I have or product I want to see. If I’m looking for the best deal on a holiday, I would type in “best deals on holidays to Greece” or “best deal on the new iphone”. This will bring up all the relevant websites where you can search for holidays, and it will bring up the comparable sites too. It’s such a good starting point, if you don’t know where to start.
Read reviews
There’s nothing better than hearing what the general public or friends and family think about something, and this is a often a good way to rule out whether a product or experience is good, and worth purchasing. From my point I love hearing people’s opinions and in the past it has made me visit a certain place or purchase a product, but I would always take these with a pinch of salt, and at the end of the day it’s your decision. Some of the best places I find for reviews are Tripadvisor, Amazon and now Google reviews.
So whether you are looking for car hire companies, a new mobile phone or a hoover, I hope that this has given you some food for thought to help you find the best deal and save those pounds, so you have more money to spend on days out with the children.

I think comparing the market is a great way to save money. I usually compare the prices on different websites and visit nearest local stores also. Then, I proceed with whichever saves the money.
