Weekly review

Week in review #1

The Christmas decs have been taken down, and hubby has gone back to work after 2 weeks off. Its been lovely having him around so that we could spend time together as a family. Now that the first week of 2016 is done, here are my highlights:

  1. Setting up of my blog.

Blogging is very new to me. Using the WordPress platform is new to me. I know that I have a lot to learn. But I am so pleased to have set this up, released my first post, got some Twitter followers and started following all the fabulous other bloggers out there.

2. Little one starting to roll.

Every day I’m amazed by how much she’s changing and growing – it’s quite scary how quickly this is happening! This week she has learnt to roll onto her tummy, but then gets stuck as she hasn’t figured out how to roll back. Cue frustrated crying, arms and legs flailing! Mummy to the rescue.

3. Girly catch up.

It was lovely to catch up with the NCT ladies after the Christmas break. We had a good giggle over cake, tea and more cake about sleeping, baby poo, breastfeeding, weaning etc…I love these girls, it’s so nice to be going through the same thing with our babies at the same time.

4. Swimming.

After a disastrous first Waterbabies swim class, where little one would not stop screaming resulting in us leaving the pool, she is now very happy to be in the pool. This week we did more underwater swimming, it’s amazing seeing their eyes wide open underwater – does the chlorine not sting?

5. No Cry Sleep Solution.

We are well and truly into the 4/5 month sleep regression, big yawn! This week I started Elizabeth Pantley’s No Cry Sleep Solution to hopefully improve her sleep but also to stop feeding her to sleep (that being the main aim). So far this week I’ve been tracking day time nap routine, pre-bed routine, and night time wakings, to get an understanding of sleep patterns. More to follow on this next week…..

Hope everyone has had a great first week of 2016!

Claire x
