It requires an adult to put it together, and that’s really easy to do without instructions, and then it’s ready to play. It comes with all the tools that you would normally get in an adult tool box including hammer, ruler, screws, biscuit joiner and clamp. Each item is brightly coloured, and fairly small (ish) to help build a child’s motor skills and helping them to understand the different colours. Already my daughter is enjoying bashing the pegs into the holes and attempting to unscrew the screws.

It comes in a box about 25 x 10 centimetres, which is great if you are travelling, so there’s no need to worry about carting around a huge box, or if you have limited storage in your house. Plus it’s really light in weight, making it easy for your child to carry from room to room around the home.

The personalisation is placed on the front of the workbench, and that can be anything you want. We opted for my daughter’s name with “DIY work bench” but like I said it can be any wording you choose.
